13h45 – 14h15
Accueil – introduction

14h15 – 15h15
James Reindeer : The future is clear:  Parallelism is here to stay
Intel’s commitment to ensure every development environment has the tools needed to capitalize on the power of multicore is ever present. In 2009,  Intel expanded its leadership on many fronts with the introduction of Atom tools, the launch of Parallel Studio for Windows developers, and the continued enrichment of HPC products and Cluster tools.  James will talk about the challenges of programming for multicore, and lay out criteria for making the best decisions that will lead to success.  James will provide a comprehensive overview of the  options and implications of various programming approaches that enable software companies to protect their application investment while reliably scaling for future processor innovations.

15h15 – 16h15
Steve Texeira : As the microprocessor industry has undergone a major paradigm shift from increasing clock speed to increasing core count, software developers are challenge to think differently about how to exploit the performance of the underlying hardware. This session discusses the new programming model and tools technologies in Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0, including the Parallel Pattern Library (PPL), Asynchronous Agents, Task Parallel Library (TPL), Parallel Language Integrated Query (PLINQ), and Concurrent Data Structures (CDS). Developers will also gain a deeper understanding of the advantages of building applications using these task-centric parallel technologies and will see demonstrations of several important patterns for parallelization.

16h15 – 16h30 : Break

16h30 – 17h00
